Type City is the name of the recent work of Hong Seon Jang, the Korean artist has reconstructed an entire city (probably inspired by Hong Kong) using the old typefaces, we’re just talking about those tiny characters in molten lead that any student of the Printing love typography.
The work recently exhibited at the Gallery of David B. Smith Gallery is very reminiscent of the work Ephemicropolis by Peter Root (in his case it was grafette by stapler), a clear sign that the art world there are still unexplored territories and material on which to work.
