Roofers – The Graceful Spout Design x Shota Aoyagi

This project aims to solve the problems around a traditional spout by providing a ‘roof’ for liquid to run underneath. Pouring from the spout on a teapot for example, it drips, liquid tends to gather around the edges creating limescale and it is a difficult shape to access for washing.

Being There – With some of the best skiers within all aspects of modern freeskiing

Field Productions is proud to present their eighth ski movie installment: Being There.

With some of the best skiers within all aspects of modern freeskiing, and a passionate film crew equipped with the best of HD cameras, this movie will both thrill and amaze you. Along side amazing action shots and mind blowing scenery, this movie will give you a behind the scenes look at the production itself.

You should have been there when wonder kid Jesper Tjäder shocked the whole film crew with his urban skiing or when Tom Wallisch was head of production at Strandafjellet. You should have been there when Aleksander Aurdal proved how much of a man he is or when Aksel Lund Svindal had unforgettable days in Lofoten.

Missed it? Well, don´t worry. This movie will take you there.

Extraterrestrial Hybrid Bike

Extraterrestrial Hybrid Bike design

This electric bicycle concept is out of this world! The INgSOC, by designers Edward Kim and Benny Cemoli, combines the aerodynamic shapes of triathlon designs, flexible handling of traditional bikes, and advanced hybrid power technology into one super-efficient commuting machine that (to say the least) looks, well… unearthly!

The frame is constructed from carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) for its high strength yield to weight ratio. Adaptability comes from mono-direction reinforcing of the frame, directing stiffness by orienting carbon fiber strains along a projected trajectory.

The battery which powers the motor, integrated front and rear lights, as well as a charging dock for communication devices, entertainment, or navigation is directly charged from the rider’s own energy output to maximize efficiency.

Lovely Honey

Lovely Honey designLovely Honey design

The identity uses a heart motif to reference both the name of the product and also the natural health benefits associated with honey.

A limited colour palette and hand drawn style helps create a simple, natural feel. The heart motif continues throughout across items such as secondary packaging and illustrations.

I like luggage and MUJI. Combine the two and I might very well get very excited. MUJI just introduced a new Hard Carry Travel Suitcase collection which is durable and lightweight polycarbonate with adjustable carry bar. Available in Black, Gray and Khaki. Yet another MUJI product that strikes with a simple and beautiful design.

Syria. The other side

Director of photography: Ruslan Fedotow

Following the recent events that took place in Syria, people all over the world used to see this country like it presented by media. I have been twice there and can assure you Syria is a wonderful land with its age-old traditions and unique culture. First, I came to Syria together with my friends in August 2010. That’s exactly when I shot my first video about the place. Later Blake Whitman showed it on vimeo.com HD channel. The movie was warmly met and watched by a great number of people, what gave me an opportunity to take part in another project in Syria in February this year. It was a documentary about the country made in 20 days. I was DOP in a second unit. The video you see I made together with my friend from my Syrian shot here, at home. I wish people remembered Syria a great and marvelous country like it really is! Thank you!
