This month, legendary French chef Pierre Koffmann returns to London with his new restaurant, Koffmanʼs, at The Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge.

London design studio Construct has created the identity and branding.

The identity and branding take their inspiration from two sources: French bistro vernacular and a ʻsignaturesʼ theme. The bistro influence can be seen in the use of a curved logotype, a condensed typeface and the dominance of red. The ʻsignatureʼ elements are literal and symbolic: Koffmannʼs own handwritten signature sits across the full range of design applications, from exterior awnings to menus, whilst a little pig, separated from his feet at the top of the menu, references Koffmannʼs best known signature dish, pigʼs trotters.

Wieden+Kennedy 12.6

Jamie Edwards and Javan Ivey teamed up for this personal profile piece of W+K’s “12″ program. The task was to create an astonishing profile piece of 13 people with a short production window. Jamie called on Javan to help her create something in Stratastencil.

Digital Orca

Digital Orca design

Famous for the 1991 international bestseller Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture, Canadian Douglas Coupland resumed his work in visual arts in 2000, following a 10 year hiatus that coincided with his international literary fame. A recent edition to his body of work is this beautiful ‘digitised’ sculpture of a killer whale that is now a resident of Vancouver’s Convention Centre. Imposing, unique and decidedly post-modern, the metal structure with it’s night time illumination is a dazzling new icon for Vancouver’s charming harbour….

Colier

Colier design

«Colier» is limited collection of sparkling wine: 23 bottles of luxury sets (bottle + presentation box) and 5 premium (handmade bottle + cocoon container). The target audience was business women and we all know that champagne is female drink. After brainstorming we choose collar as name, because it describes the idea of collection very good and also can be played in designs. For Brut we used classic square box form and for Vintage Brut we created the cocoon. All the weight of cocoon is focused in his bottom part that’s why it don’t turn upside down and it also keeps cold inside before opening.

The Gamer’s Alphabet, on a T-Shirt

The Gamers Alphabet, on a T Shirt design

I’d have learned the alphabet so much faster this way. The Console Font is now in excellent t-shirt form for $9. [Tee Fury]

Console Font Is Just My Type

Console Font Is Just My Type design

I’ve seen fonts that are playful, but the console alphabet may be the first ever that’s playable. Composed entirely of carefully arranged gaming hardware and awesomeness, it’s going to be my default just as soon as it’s downloadable.
